Changelog You're on v1.32.4
Every change to Dispatch Dash that reached production, newest first.
Versions follow Semantic Versioning and the format follows Keep a Changelog.
v1.32.4
Changed
- The old address now opens the new one. Anything at triumph-dispatch-dash.netlify.app, an old bookmark or a link in an earlier Teams post, goes to the same page on dashboard.triumphprotection.com. If the sign-in card shows, type the access code once.
v1.32.3
Changed
- The Dashboard has a new address: dashboard.triumphprotection.com. Open it there from now on, and update your bookmark (and your phone's home screen icon). The first time you open it, type the access code again: the browser keeps it separately for each address. The guides (Dispatcher Guide 1.14, Review Guide for Managers 1.10, Quick Start 1.1) give the new address, and calls posted to Teams link to it.
v1.32.2
Changed
- The tabs at the top are in a new order: Dashboard, Phone log, Pass down, Protocols and Review, so the pages Dispatchers use every shift come first.
v1.32.1
Changed
- The war room's response times update every 30 minutes, not every 5. They're a week's figures, so they barely move in 5 minutes, and each screen now makes about a quarter fewer requests. Everything else on the screen still updates every 5 minutes, and the clock and minutes late keep ticking.
v1.32.0
Added
- The phone log, for every call to Dispatch, on the new Phone log tab. It replaces the Phone Call Log form: log a call while you're on the phone, and everyone on Dispatch can see it after.
- The form has the old form's questions, in a compact layout you can tab through. Press N to open it, and Ctrl+Enter to save.
- Type the caller's number first: a guard working in the last 12 hours or the next 24 is found in When I Work, with their name, site and shift. The call is then linked to that shift, and a phone shows on the shift's row on the Dashboard.
- The subject, the date and time, and who logged it are filled in for you.
- New types of call: Employment inquiry, Recruitment/Hiring, Call-out, Clock in/out request and Complaint about a guard.
- After saving, a call can be followed up, given notes, copied for Teams, made a pass down note, edited and archived. Its history shows who did what, and when.
- Search, filter and page through the calls as on Pass down. The tab's number is the calls that need follow-up.
- Log a call about this shift, in a shift's β― menu on the Dashboard, opens the form with the guard filled in.
- Post a call to Teams, or forward it by email, with one click, as the Triumph Dispatch account. The channel for the type of call is ticked for you, or pick any channel the Dispatch account is in. "Message sent on Teams" and "by email" tick themselves.
- The Dispatch Manager connects Teams once and sets which channel each type of call suggests. Until it's connected, Copy for Teams copies a call to paste in yourself.
- The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.13) and the Review Guide for Managers (version 1.9) explain both.
v1.31.0
Changed
- Minor fix for navigation
v1.30.0
Added
- A war room view for the big screens above Dispatch, at
/warroom. It's made to be read from across the room and never clicked: it signs in once, updates itself every 5 minutes, and keeps the clock and the minutes late ticking in between.- The counts: late, no-show, starting now, on shift, starting in the next 2 hours and snoozed.
- Needs attention: each late shift, longest late first, with how long, the guard and site, its time, which protocol steps are done and the last one. When nothing does, "All clear" and when the next shift starts.
- The 12 hours back and 12 ahead, hour by hour; how fast Dispatch takes the first step on a late shift, today and over the week; and the shifts starting in the next 2 hours.
- The active pass down notes and who's on Dispatch, with the access code. Signed in with the view-only code, neither shows.
- It fits 1080p and 4K screens. On a 4K screen at 150% there's room for more rows. A list that doesn't fit says how many more there are, and if the data stops updating the clock's line turns red and says so. No phone numbers on screen.
- The Review Guide for Managers (version 1.8) explains how to set up a screen.
v1.29.1
Security
- Only the manager code changes the roadmap, deletes pass down notes and opens the requests inbox. The view-only code never counts as the Dispatch Manager's, even in a browser that also has the manager code saved: it sees what everyone sees, and changes nothing.
v1.29.0
Added
- Coming up, at the top of the Changelog page. What's being worked on now, what's next and what's planned for later, kept up to date by the Dispatch Manager. Everyone signed in sees it, the view-only code too.
- Now and Next are open. Later is folded, so the changelog stays the page's main content.
- What shipped in the last two weeks is under Just shipped, with a link to its notes further down.
- Tell Kevin your idea, under it, opens the form at the top of the page, ready for an idea.
- Signed in with the manager code, a link beside the heading opens the Roadmap tab, and says when a new release is live to check it against.
- The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.12) and the Review Guide for Managers (version 1.7) show it.
v1.28.0
Added
- A roadmap of what's coming, kept by the Dispatch Manager on a new Roadmap tab in the requests inbox. Items go in Now, Next or Later, and each change saves at once, with no update to the Dashboard. From the next release, everyone signed in will see it at the top of the Changelog page.
- Each item reads like a changelog entry: an emoji, a title in bold and a sentence or two, with details under it if needed. An item for Managers gets a "For Managers" label.
- Move an item with β and β or its Move to menu, edit it in place, or mark it shipped in a release. A shipped item will show as just shipped for two weeks, and marking it can also mark the requests it came from Done.
- Add to roadmap on a request starts an item linked to it, with the request's words beside the fields, and sets the request to Planned. The request itself stays private.
- After each release the tab shows a dot, and lists what the release changed beside what's in Now, until you mark the roadmap up to date.
v1.27.0
Changed
- Pass down notes put the note first. The When and Written by columns are gone, and the note's text is a size larger with the whole row to itself, so more notes fit on the screen.
- Under each note, one small grey line, indented, says who wrote it, on which shift and when ("by Kayla Bell Β· Day shift Β· Sep 7, 04:45"), and when it shows if it's on certain shifts only, snoozed or archived. Notes that show until they're archived don't say so, since most do.
- Under All notes the line starts with the note's status; the row's coloured edge shows it too.
- Dates from an earlier year show the year, as on the notebook's notes.
- The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.11) shows it.
v1.26.2
Fixed
- "Whose note" is up to date even when the Dashboard isn't open. The Pass down page used the list of who's on duty that the Dashboard last saved, which could be up to two hours old, so a Dispatcher who had since clocked out could still be picked. The page now checks who's working when it opens and when you start a note. A name you picked yourself stays picked.
v1.26.1
Fixed
- A pass down note's name skips Dispatchers who have clocked out. "Whose note" now starts on the first Dispatcher at HQ Dispatch who clocked in and is still working, not one who clocked in earlier and has gone home. Dispatchers who've clocked out are at the bottom of the list, marked "clocked out". The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.10) says so.
- A Night shift that starts in the evening shows its own date. A Dispatcher whose shift started in the late afternoon or evening was shown on the night before's shift.
v1.26.0
Changed
- The manager code signs in on any page, on the same card as the access code. It opens everything Dispatchers can do, and also lets the Dispatch Manager delete pass down notes (from the β― menu) and open the requests inbox straight away. The Review Guide for Managers (version 1.6) shows how.
v1.25.0
Changed
- Every page signs in the same way. The Changelog, Pass down and the requests inbox now open on the same sign-in card as the Dashboard, with the Triumph Γ When I Work logos, until the access code is entered. If a saved code stops working, any page goes back to the card and says so. The requests inbox then asks for the manager code on its own card, as before.
- The lock is on the Changelog and Pass down pages too, at the top right as on the Dashboard. Click it to sign out of this browser.
v1.24.1
Removed
- The one-time import of the old pass down notebook is switched off, now that its notes are in. The notes it brought in stay, and nothing changes on the Pass down page.
v1.24.0
Added
- Pass down notes: what your shift tells the next. A new Pass down page, from the tab at the top of the Dashboard, replaces the notebook Dispatchers passed between shifts: a guard who covers a site, a site with paused service, who to call this week.
- Click in the note field at the top to write one (the rest opens as you do; click away and it closes to one line of your draft), with bold, italic, bullets, and Urgent, Caution, Good news or Info colours. The Dashboard fills in whose note it is from who's clocked in at HQ Dispatch.
- A note is active until it's archived, or only on the Dispatch shifts you pick. The page opens on the active notes.
- The notes are a list like the Dashboard's shifts, one row each: the status, the note in the widest column, when it shows, and who wrote it. The β― at the end of a row shows the note's history and lets you edit it, snooze it until the next shift (or a later one), archive it, or bring it back.
- Click a status or All notes to see every note, with filters by shift and Dispatcher, and a search that looks through every month. While you search, the status counts show where the matches are. On a wide screen these sit in a sidebar, like the Dashboard's.
- The notebook's notes since May 2025 are in the log, a month at a time, as they were written. September's notes, and the ones marked ongoing, are active.
- Only Dispatchers see pass down notes, and only the Dispatch Manager can delete one.
- The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.9) and the Review Guide for Managers (version 1.5) explain it.
v1.23.1
Changed
- The sign-in screen shows Triumph Γ When I Work, the two logos one above the other, in place of the word "Dispatch", to match the top of every page.
v1.23.0
Added
- A view-only code for people who need to see what Dispatch has done and is doing, without changing it. It's typed on the same sign-in screen as the access code. It shows the Dashboard, every checklist and note, the protocols and the Review page, with "View only" at the top. Step check boxes are locked, and there's no note field, snoozing, ignoring or protocol editing. The Review Guide for Managers (version 1.4) explains it.
Changed
- The requests inbox asks for the manager code on the same sign-in card as the Dashboard's access code: centred, with the Triumph logo, and nothing else on the page until the code works. If this browser has no access code yet, the message links back to the Dashboard.
v1.22.1
Fixed
- The manager code box on the requests inbox has room to breathe. Its hint and the "Open the inbox" button were pressed together.
v1.22.0
Added
- Tell Kevin what's not working, or share an idea. Click "Tell Kevin" at the top of this Changelog page, then pick "Something's not working" or "I have an idea", write what happened or what would help, and add your name if you'd like Kevin to follow up. The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.8) shows how.
- An inbox for the Dispatch Manager with every request from Dispatchers, behind its own manager code. Give each a status (New, Planned, Done or Won't do), keep a private note, or delete it. See them as a list, or as a board with a column for each status, where you drag a card to change its status. The Review Guide for Managers (version 1.3) shows how.
Changed
- The top of every page shows Triumph Γ When I Work, the two logos side by side, in place of the word "Dispatch". On a phone it shows the Triumph logo only, as before.
Fixed
- On a phone, the menu of views opens in front of the Review page. Before, the date range and filters covered most of it.
v1.21.3
Added
- Click Γ next to the countdown to keep the shift from snoozing. The step stays checked. Before, the only way was to uncheck the step.
Changed
- The snooze countdown after a step check stops while you're in the shift's log field, even before you type, and its bar stops with it. Both go on from where they stopped when you leave the field.
Fixed
- Protocol steps stay in order (1, 2, 3) when you check them out of order. Before, a step you checked moved above the steps not yet checked. A log note now shows under the step you checked last before you wrote it. The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.7) says so too.
v1.21.2
Changed
- You have 10 seconds, up from 4, to change your mind after checking a protocol step. "Snoozing shift for 5 minutesβ¦" and its bar now run for 10 seconds before the shift moves to Snoozed. The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.6) says so too.
- "Ignore this shift instead" now looks like a button. In the snooze window it is a full-width outlined button, so it is clear you can click it.
v1.21.1
Fixed
- Choosing a schedule filters the list at once. Before, the list sometimes waited until you clicked or typed somewhere else.
v1.21.0
Added
- Checking a protocol step snoozes the shift for 5 minutes, so Needs attention shows what still needs doing while the guard answers. For 4 seconds first, "Snoozing shift for 5 minutesβ¦" shows with a bar that runs down: check another step, or uncheck the step to cancel. It also waits while you type a log note for that shift.
- Point to the data time to see when the next automatic refresh is, counting down to the second.
Changed
- Each section is a box around its shifts, with its heading at the top, so one section ends and the next begins at a glance. The column headings stay at the top of the window as you scroll through a section.
- The data time and Refresh are one small unit: "Updated 14:49" with a refresh icon beside it. It turns red with STALE when the data is old, as before. On a wide screen it sits at the top of the left panel, on every page, and the Protocols page now has that panel too. On a narrower screen the header scrolls away, and the data time stays in a slim strip at the top of the window.
- Snoozed shifts look calm, in the Snoozed colour with no red background, like ignored shifts.
- Phone numbers in the shift lists are plain text in a quieter style, easy to read and select. To call or text, use the buttons in the checklist.
- The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.5) covers the new data time, Refresh icon and snooze on check.
v1.20.0
Added
- Start a protocol before the shift does. Upcoming and "Starting now" shifts show their protocol in the Notes column too, so you can call a guard ahead of time to confirm they're on the way and check it off. If the guard is late after all, the checklist carries on from there.
Changed
- On the Review page, a step taken before the shift started shows with a minus time (such as β20m) and the card says Starts at until the shift begins. Early steps are never slow and aren't counted in the usual response times, and a shift that hasn't started isn't counted as No clock-in.
- The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.4) and the Review Guide for Managers (version 1.2) cover steps taken before a shift starts.
v1.19.1
Added
- Terminal mode. Hack the planet.
>_
v1.19.0
Changed
- In a late shift's checklist, texting the guard copies a message to paste into your texting app: "Hi Omar, are you on site for Coastline Medical Plaza?" (the position without its code or number). The button says Copied when it's done. Texting anyone else still opens your texting app.
- The checklist's call and text links are now small buttons with an icon, so it's clear what each one does: Call, Text, or Copy text message. The guard's buttons leave out their number, which is on the shift's line just above; anyone else's number is shown once, as (805) 555-0142.
v1.18.0
Added
- Snooze a shift that needs attention, for when the next step is due later ("guard says 20 minutes out"). "Snooze this shiftβ¦" in the β― menu opens a dialog with quick durations, "Until the shift ends" or a time of your choice (24-hour, such as 20:40); it says exactly when the shift comes back, and the button to confirm repeats the time. The shift moves to a new Snoozed tile and list, and comes back to Needs attention when the snooze ends, or sooner if the guard clocks in. Snoozes are shared by all dispatchers. A snoozed shift's menu can change or stop the snooze.
- A Clear filters button, on the Dashboard and the Review page, resets the tile, the dropdowns and the search in one click. It shows only while something is filtered. On the Review page it keeps the dates.
- The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.3) has a new section on snoozing.
Changed
- When nothing needs attention, one card says so and gives the countdown to what's next: "Next shift starts in 57m at 20:25", "2 shifts startβ¦" when several start at that time, or "Snoozed shift is back in 12m" when a snooze ends first. It's a large card set in Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a typeface made to be read at a glance and from a distance, with the countdown coloured by how soon (green, then yellow, orange and red). Clicking it opens the list with those shifts and highlights them. It was a small "Next clock-in" line with one guard's name.
- "Ignore this shift" for a late, starting or upcoming shift is now in the snooze dialog ("Ignore this shift instead"); the other ignore options stay in the β― menu.
- Filtering by a tile at the top also lists the snoozed and ignored shifts in that status, in their own lists below the others. The tile's count is still the shifts that need something now.
- The Dashboard shows the schedule list and search above the status tiles, as the Review page does, on top and in the sidebar. On phones, its tiles are compact, four to a row.
- On the Review page, notes on the timeline are marked with a pencil (β) instead of the word NOTE, lined up with the steps' check marks.
v1.17.1
Changed
- Call links open in the RingCentral app on computers where it's set up for click to dial (on Windows, as the CALLTO app; on a Mac, as the FaceTime "Default for calls"). Numbers are sent with +1, as RingCentral expects. Without RingCentral, the computer's usual calling app opens as before.
v1.17.0
Changed
- On the Review page, a slow response now means slower than usual rather than a fixed limit. The first, second and third steps are each compared with their median time over the escalations in the dates, Dispatch shift and schedule picked. The line under the tiles shows the medians, and the CSV has the third step's time and a "Slow third step" column. As before, a step isn't slow if the guard had already clocked in.
- The Review Guide for Managers (version 1.1) explains the medians.
- In a shift's card, the protocol note, shift notes and timesheet notes sit together under the log field, side by side on wider screens and stacked on phones. They're quieter than before, with a thin coloured line and a heading that says where each comes from, so the log field stands out.
- A shift's expanded card reads top to bottom: it slides out from under the shift's row, the steps and log field come first on a slightly darker background, and the notes and the protocol's name sit below on a darker one still, with their text adjusted to read as clearly as the shift's own line. The next step is raised out of the list.
- The log field is darker than the card around it. The Add note button is quieter, in light blue like the current page's tab (Enter adds a note too), and the text on blue buttons is easier to read in dark mode.
- "No protocol" in the Notes column stays on one line.
- Once a late guard clocks in, the steps not yet done are muted and none is marked Next, since they no longer need doing. They can still be checked for the record.
- The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.2) shows the new look.
Fixed
- Log notes among the steps line up: the pencil sits under the check boxes and the note's text starts where the steps' text does.
- Clicking a button or check box right after typing in a log field works the first time. Before, an update held back while typing could redraw the list mid-click, so the click was lost.
v1.16.0
Added
- Shift notes and timesheet notes from When I Work open under any shift that has them: click the row or its page icon. Phone numbers and links in the notes can be tapped.
- On a late shift, the notes show at the bottom of the checklist.
Changed
- The Protocol column is now Notes. It shows the protocol's progress on late shifts, a page icon when the shift has notes in When I Work, and a pencil with the number of log notes. A late shift with no protocol shows "No protocol" (was "None").
- A late shift's checklist shows log notes among the steps, in time order with the checked steps, instead of in a separate log below. The Review page is unchanged.
- The "Add to the log" field, below the steps, stands out, so it's quicker to record what was done or why not.
- The Dispatcher Guide (version 1.1) covers the WIW notes, with new screenshots.
v1.15.0
Added
- A changelog, at
/changelog. The version number at the bottom of the page (or of the sidebar on wide screens) links to it.
Fixed
- On wide screens, the shift list keeps its full width when every section is collapsed.
v1.14.0
Added
- On wide screens, the Review page's filters and count tiles move to a sidebar on the left, like the Dashboard's.
Changed
- The sidebar fills the whole height of the window, under the header.
- Every dropdown's arrow sits further in from the edge.
- Every search field looks the same, and shows a red clear button whenever it holds a search.
- Search fields and filter dropdowns are outlined in blue while they filter the list.
Fixed
- Some hidden parts of the page could show, such as the Dashboard's sidebar on the Review page.
v1.13.0
Added
- When nothing needs attention, the section shows the time to the next scheduled shift start: green over 30 minutes, yellow at 30 or less, orange at 15 or less, red at 5 or less.
- On screens 1500px wide or more, the count tiles and filters move to a sidebar on the left that stays in place while the list scrolls.
- The β― menu colors the words position, job site, schedule and user like the rest of the Dashboard, and marks the items that ask you to confirm.
Changed
- Section headings (Needs attention, On shift and so on) are full-width colored bands, and the collapsible ones have an arrow.
- The bar for selected shifts is pinned to the bottom of the window, across its full width, and only shows while shifts are being selected.
v1.12.0
Changed
- Ignoring a position, job site, schedule or user from the β― menu asks you to confirm first, because the rule stays until someone removes it.
- Ignoring more than one selected shift always asks you to confirm first.
v1.11.0
Added
- The Unlock button shows a spinner while the access code is checked.
Changed
- A Dashboard in a hidden browser tab stops refreshing, and refreshes as soon as it is shown again if its data is 5 minutes old or more.
v1.10.1
Added
- The Dispatcher Guide and the Review Guide for Managers (PDF).
v1.10.0
Added
- Review page: a search, like the Dashboard's.
- Review page: slow responses are flagged in place on each card's timeline. The first step is slow after 10 minutes, the second after 15.
- Review page: a new date range picker that starts and ends on Dispatch shifts (Day, Swing, Night), and a Dispatch shift filter.
- Deploy previews start with a copy of production's ignore rules, protocols and escalation log.
Changed
- Review cards lead with what Dispatch did: a timeline of checked steps and notes, with the guard's clock-in placed among them.
- The Review page's filters fit on one row, and it has a phone layout.
v1.9.1
Fixed
- A guard still clocked in from a shift that started more than 13 hours ago no longer shows as a no-show.
v1.9.0
Added
- On phones, the tabs fold into a menu under the current view's name.
- Add to Home Screen opens Dispatch as an app with the Triumph logo.
Changed
- A shift is late 6 minutes after its start (was 5).
- Rows read status, position and job site, guard, time, and detail ("clocked in at 18:58").
- Ignored shifts are purple and clocked-out shifts slate, and section headings match their shifts' color.
- Clock-ins without a scheduled shift are listed under On shift.
v1.8.0
Added
- Select shifts: check several shifts and ignore them together by shift, position, job site, schedule or user.
- With the Ignored tile selected, select ignored shifts and stop ignoring them together.
- The protocol editor has its own address, so the browser's Back button returns to the list.
Fixed
- An ignore change no longer flips back on screen right after a quick toggle.
v1.7.0
Added
- A sign-in screen of its own, and a lock button that signs a shared browser out.
v1.6.0
Added
- Each view's filters are kept in the address, so a view can be bookmarked or shared, and Back and Forward step through filter changes.
Changed
- The Late tile comes before No-show.
v1.5.1
Changed
- The header's tabs and Refresh button have no borders, and fill in on hover.
v1.5.0
Changed
- Refreshes are faster: data from When I Work is saved between refreshes, and only recent changes are fetched. Shifts added or edited later in the day show up within the hour.
- A refresh less than a minute after the last one uses the saved data.
v1.4.0
Added
- Escalation protocols (Protocols tab): named steps for who to call or text when a guard is late, applied to schedules, job sites or positions.
- A checklist with notes on each late shift, from its Protocol button.
- The Review tab, for the Dispatch Manager: every escalation, with filter tiles and CSV export.
v1.3.1
Changed
- The Dashboard uses the IBM Plex Sans and IBM Plex Mono fonts.
v1.3.0
Added
- The Triumph Protection Group logo in the header and the browser tab.
v1.2.0
Added
- Expand all / Collapse all for the lists.
Fixed
- Open lists stay open through refreshes, and are remembered by the browser.
v1.1.0
Added
- A schedule filter (When I Work Schedules) with shift counts, replacing the region chips.
- The position column shows the job site too.
- Column headers over each list.
- Upcoming shifts count down to their start.
- "Ignore this job site" in the β― menu.
Changed
- The Dashboard shows a rolling window (shifts that ended in the last 12 hours to shifts starting in the next 24) instead of a calendar day, so nothing disappears at midnight.
v1.0.0
Added
- Shifts from every When I Work workplace the Dispatch login belongs to (Pacific, Central and Eastern).
- The β― menu ignores a shift, position, schedule or user for every dispatcher, and undoes it.
- Count tiles filter the page.
Changed
- Open shifts are not shown.
- On shift includes guards on another shift, and every list is sorted by start time. Upcoming shows the soonest first.
- Every ignore rule is set on the Dashboard; none are built in.
v0.1.0
Added
- First version: shifts in progress with no clock-in, sorted by urgency, with search and a refresh every 5 minutes.
